Legacy Products

Often referred to as “Omex 3” due to the label.
Due to their age these products are no longer supported
by Omex, but the instruction manuals are still available below. The instruction manuals refer to an old version of Omex PC software, MAP3000, but these products are compatible with the current MAP4000 PC software. The newer software layout is slightly different but all naming is consistent between software versions.

How to identify your product; Your ECU will have a serial number label on it, the second group of numbers in the serial number is the ECU type. 

Startup Calibration

Request a Startup Calibration

To get your engine running for the first time, you need a startup calibration file. Choose one of the two options below.

Option A: Use Our Free Calibration Library

Download a ready-to-use file for many common engines. This is the fastest option.

Option B: Request a Custom Startup Map

Complete the form below with your engine's details and our engineers will create a custom base map for you. Please note we are operating with a limited support team this week. We aim to reply to all technical enquiries within 3 business days (Monday-Friday, UK time). Complex queries may take slightly longer depending on investigation required or demand.

 

New ECUs

  • This service is complimentary.

Secondhand/Older ECUs

  • This is a paid service, typically costing £30–£50 dependent on the complexity of the request.

New Products (Within 12 Months of Purchase

  • For Tuner Purchases: We recommend your tuner is your first point of contact for the most expert help.

  • For Direct or Retailer Purchases: Please contact us directly using the form below.

  • Support focuses on the correct installation and configuration of your Omex product, ready for final tuning.

  • The service is for resolving specific technical questions based on the official manual.

  • This support assumes a foundational knowledge of vehicle wiring, mechanics, and PCs.

 

Specialist & Advanced Tasks

For some tasks, we recommend hiring a professional engine tuner. This includes:

  • Engine calibration / tuning

  • Diagnosing non-Omex hardware

  • In-depth training on tuning principles

  • Track data analysis

 

Second-hand or Products Older than 12 Months

  • To support the longevity of our products, we offer a paid service via an open payment model.

  • Our engineers will provide a running total of the support's commercial value as a guideline.

  • At the conclusion of our support, you can make a payment based on the value guideline, using the secure link provided.

Attachments

Testing & Inspection

Testing and Inspection

  • To request an inspection, please complete the Technical Support Enquiry from.

  • Authorisation must be obtained from us before sending any unit for inspection.

  • An upfront service fee of £75 + P&P + VAT is required to initiate the inspection process.

  • Our comprehensive diagnostic service will include stripping the ECU for physical board inspection and thermal stress testing to identify intermittent faults.

 

Once the inspection is complete:

  • In-Warranty Fault: If a manufacturing defect is confirmed within the warranty period, the service fee will be refunded in full, and the unit will be repaired or replaced at no charge.

  • Out-of-Warranty Fault: If a fault is found, the service fee is credited towards the repair. We will provide a detailed quote for your approval before starting any work.

  • No Fault Found: If the unit is found to be working correctly, the service fee covers the entire diagnostic and reporting process.
